Butter Garlic Mushroom Recipe

Mushrooms are a good source of Protein and they have numerous amount of health benefits. They are also good plant source of Vitamin D. Including Mushrooms in your kid's diet is a very good option for the health benefits they provide to us.

In this recipe, I have used just four main ingredients but the taste will be excellent 👌. This recipe is a non deep-fried starter. As many starters requires deep-frying. This one can be prepared in less amount of time with easily available ingredients at home. You can make this recipe in just 10 - 15 minutes. I have included lot of Garlic in this recipe, which is good immunity booster for the little ones. We can serve this recipe as a starter, or as a side dish along with rice and fried rice goes well into this. Now let's check out the recipe I have made in my own style.

Butter Garlic Mushroom

INGREDIENTS:

Mushrooms - 200 gm

Garlic - 12 to 15 cloves (1 medium size bulb)

Onion - 1 medium size

Butter - 2 teaspoons

Lemon juice - 1  teaspoon (Half a lemon)

Salt - 1 teaspoon (or per your taste)

Black Pepper powder - 1 teaspoon (or per your taste)

PREPARATION:

Wash and clean Mushrooms properly and cut the large size Mushrooms in just two halves and leave the smaller ones as it is. I have taken Button Mushrooms to prepare this recipe because I feel the taste will be better if we use this kind of Mushrooms.

Take a saute pan and just heat two spoons of butter. Heat butter in a low flame as it may change its color very fast.

As the butter just heats up, add the chopped Mushrooms in to the saute pan and just fry it for a few seconds in a medium flame.

Mushrooms will turn into golden brown color in no time.

Now add the onion which is finely chopped into the saute pan and fry them for a minute.

Add finely chopped Garlic into the pan and saute them for 2 times. While this step going on, we can see that our Mushrooms also gets well cooked and they will have some crunch.

Add the salt and pepper after the Mushrooms gets cooked and saute them for half  minute and switch off the flame.

After turning off the flame only add freshly squeezed lemon juice and now its time to serve the recipe.

Cooking Tips:

  • Do not close the lid immediately after adding mushrooms into the pan. It may releases water and Mushroom may become soggy. Saute them for a while in a medium flame and close the lid when it becomes fried or golden brown in color.
  • Do not add salt while we are cooking Mushrooms as it may releases water. It will be better to add salt at last step so that Mushrooms do not become soggy.
  • I have added Lemon Juice in the recipe because I prefer it as a healthy option. You can also substitute with Vinegar(1 teaspoon).
